Hello. I'm new here and looking at a '86 944 to purchase. I have found one that is in great mechanical and cosmetic shape, but it has a problem with the power windows. Basically, they work 90% of the time and once in a while don't. Is this very common? Perhaps an easy fix?
Any help on this would be great.

 

same thing happens to me, but only on the passenger side window, but if i lean over and toggle the passenger side switch it will all of a sudden work on my side control, i dont know too much about it just take it off and check the connections. I dont really care considering its been hot out lately and cant turn my heat off

Could be a loose ground or your power window relay.If it works 90% of the time it may be hard to track down. Try tapping on the relay nex time it happens.

More than likely bad switches.
