Default intermittent short under load

Hi, I have a 86 NA 944, the car runs ok but during acceleration there is an intermittent cutout in the ignition system, the car kind of coughes for a second and keeps accelerating. The tachometer rapidly jolts when this happens. It does it a lot more when there is a load, or going up hills. It even does this at idle. I have replaced the DME relay, the ignition coil, ignition wires, and new bosch copper plugs and yet its none of these things. Perhaps the issue is in the brainbox? any help is appreciated.

Default RE: intermittent short under load

There are a couple things it could be. I would start by checking the TPS.
