New owner of an 86 944. Just replaced the clutch in my garage...drop the engine!!?? It was quite an experience but fortunately I had access to a master mechanic and he kept me out of trouble. I look forward to learning about my new toy. I have a question right off the bat, and have not had a chance to see how many times it has already been asked but here it is.............
One of the two fans used to cool the radiator has failed (apparently it is the one that is used to actually cool the engine and not the one that comes on when the airconditioner is on. Two things, can I for the moment just switch the plugs and use the other fan for cooling the car? and Is there an alternative fix other than coughing up the $238 for a replacement? I know, I know...Get used to it , Right?
