Default My Leaking 944 S2!

Hi Everybody. Hope you all had a good Christmas. Spent mine coughing and sneezing but feeling better now.

I bought a (seemingly) beautiful RHD S2 a few months ago. 1990 with about 86K miles on the clock. It was during a long dry spell so it was a while before I noticed a damp carpet r/h front. The door seal looked a bit iffy so I replaced that but no better. As the weather has become wetter the carpet is constantly wet and I have a huge supply of towels to try and dry the carpet as much as possible and wipe the glass with all the condensation which gathers - great fun!

The water seems to be coming in somewhere near the throttle pedal but it's hard to see exactly where. Under the bonnet below the windscreen water disappears into a runaway (I guess it's supposed to) but I can't see where it goes after that.

Has anybody had a similar problem or does anyone know what's likely to be causing it and how it might be repaired without costing a fortune?

Any thoughts would be gratefully received.

Turns out it was the windscreen. It has had a little accident and has been replaced and although we have had very little rain since, the car seems dry at last so hopefully it will stay that way.
