Default release lever pivot shaft

Well I got everything done up to this point and I just cant get this release lever pivot shaft out. Ive tried and tried with still nothing to show for it. Just wanted to see if someone out there has any more ideas for me. Is there a way to remove the clutch without removing this part? Or at least get it out from under the car b4 I take it out?[:@]

as Long of a bolt as you can find (recommened over 100mm in length), visegrips clamped under the head. hit it with a hammer downward. Sometimes they can be a little stubborn.

Keep pounding, it will come out eventually. Been there done that.

You did release the 6mm (10mm head) bolt that pins the rod in place right?

Try popping it in slightly with a punch and a hammer to break of any adhesions.

Good luck man! I replaced the clutch in my 944 a month ago and that step was definitely the most assinying part of all; I'm sure PorscheDoc recalls. I was able to CAREFULLY spray around the "shaft" with PB Blaster (it "soaks" into metal to loosen parts) and that helped tremendously. You just don't want to get that stuff on the flywheel.
I broke TWO fiberglass hammers while trying to pry it out with the claw end for grip, and the head for leverage on the clutch housing. I had to use my legs to provide torque as my arms apparently weren't strong enough. Lots of four letter choice words help too, and most likely there will be blood shed. GOOD LUCK, keep us updated!

Guys I got it out. Since I was replacing it anyway I drilled and tapped it out to a standard US size and got a 10" bolt and a 1-1/2" socket and used it as a slide hammer. This worked great 4 me. Thanks for all the help!
