Default Was waxing my 944...made a mistake =(

Hi guys ! 1989 944 non-turbo here. 185,000 miles, runs great =).

Before I put it away for winter a couple days ago i gave it a full wax. I made the mistake of waxing part of the fin and now the fin isnt black anymore its green/silverish.

I tried rubbing it for a long time, even with water, and the discoloration is not coming out, does anyone have any suggestions of what to do and/or what solution to buy to remove this wax from the fin? Thank you.

I highly recommend against spray paint. It will eventually crack over time and look like crap. Use black leather shoe dye instead.

I like to use a product by Mcgueirs (sp?) called "back to black" I think. It is their rubber and plastic trim detailer and made jsut for that purpose. Takes a couple of coats and time to let it soak in but I have had great luck with it.
