Well, I just talking to my mechanic today. As he was re-doing the engine seals a little piece of metal fell onto the floor that he couldn't figure out what it went to. Turns out that it was the keyway for my camshaft. That douchebag that owned the car for me put the wrong type in and it sheared (breaking both my camshaft and the camshaft gear). Now I'm SOL on a car and I can't seem to find a camshaft that doesn't cost an arm and a leg.

So, does anyone have a spare camshaft lying around for an 85.5 944 or know where I can go to get one?

 

Ebay? NA Cams should be a dime a dozen. I probably have a cam or two laying around for an NA, but it would be a few days before I could get to the storage unit.

 

Well how much would you want for it? The only ones on ebay are for S2's and turbos and they're sitting around 500 bucks a pop.
