Default Looking to buy...

Good Morning All,

I have just stumbled across this page throught a very intense internet search and wanted to ask the "pros" about the purchase of a used Boxter.

I have been researching quite a bit lately and have noticed astounding price diffrences in different model years. I would prefer to purchase something 2000 or newer but am not completely oppposed to buying a '99. Are there any significant diffrences I should know about?

I have also noticed that the depreciation is quite substantial. As I don't think I will have this car more than three years, would any of you suggest buying an older ('98/'99) which has already taken the depreciation beating or just deal with the newer models? (I drove a '99 A8 and lost more than 50% of its value in two years, so I am pretty familiar with depreciation.)

When buying thse cars used is there anything I should look at more carefully than something else? I have found several in my area that are in my price range but would really liek to be prepared when I do look.

Thanks in advance for anyy/all of your help.
