PRO: The car can handle...I have took mine through some rough driving, and it handled amazing. Performance wise...I don't have much to say about how it comes stock...But if you put some work into it...It runs like a beauty....I've eaten up a carrera recently...after I completed my modifications list.

There arent that many cons about the car, other than the E-Break light, that i've been fighting with lately, to drop the top...In order for you to open the soft top, the emergancy break light must be on. In my case, not sure about others....When i pull the ebreak up, it doesnt go on all the time...You kind of have to play with it...

Still looking up places to learn how to bypass this moronic feature lol...

But other than that, it's a great car.

Muskoka,

Beware of the water on the floor problem.. Check the alarm control box under the drivers seat.
It may have oxidation which could turn into a BIG BUCKS repair!

Boxster build before 2003 has plastic rear window.
Boxster build before 2005 cannot open the top when the car is moving. You have to pull the hand break.
Boxster build after 2005 has no spare tire.
The look is totally difference after 2005 redesign.
Hope these help.

Hey Deaner,

If you do not check and periodically clean out debris like leaves from the little drain holes insde the top (accessable
when the top is half open) if the car is left out in the rain(even with the conv top up) water will not drain to the ground and can leak onto the floor andcan short out the alarm and locking PC board which is mounted under the drivers seat.
If you address this situaltion soon you may never experience a problem or if the car has never seen any rain. But - remember even if you wash the car with the top up if these drain holes are clogged water can still find its way to the floorboards.

Good Luck
