Hello, I have a 1984 Carrera Non turbo, I was drving it earlier today for about a 5 miles trim to my friends house and back, let the car set for about an hour or 2 at my friends before going to home, shut the car off and a few minutes later started it back up for a quck trip down the road, about 2 miles round trip. it was still running fine, good oil pressure, low tempiture, sounded fine. shut it off. and about 2 hours later tried to start it. nothing, I can hear the starter engage and try to move the engine but the engine seems locked. It has, had plenty of oil in it, was showing no signs of problems before.

Does anyone have any ideas?

 

Whats battery power when cranking, has to be at least 9v, did you load test the battery? start simple before tearing into things.

 

I'd guess a battery problem. Better still, get a newer car...
