Default new to Porsche owner family

Hello from IN. , I am the proud new owner of a 1980 944 w/ 97000 mi., it is leaf-flake green with the houndstooth interior. it has been sitting inside since 1986. the car used to belong to my brother in-law,who was killed in a car crash 5 yrs. ago. then my sister in-law purchased it from my nephew. this makes me at least the fourth owner. she has attempted (on & off)to get the car going since she has had it. she says she has replaced the fuel pump, fuel filter and fuel and has got it running, but only if she push starts it. she also put new tires on it. the car is in great shape for being 30 yrs. old. it doesn't have any rust, which is rare in IN. I couldn't pass up the deal she offered ($300.00) she is going to deliver too.

Well, you are probably in for some surprises, but with care and persistance I imagine you can get it running without undue cost, at which point you will find a host of small things it needs. But it will be a good project and if the car has no rust, then at least you are building on a firm foundation.
