I don't know if this will help or not but my car did the same thing and one day when my daughter put down the roof she held the switch down for about 3 sec. after the light said it was down and it always works doing that, always.

 

I have replaced my battery twice and it still goes dead. somthing on my car is draining it. battery can sit disconected from the car for weeks and stay charged but hook it up and sometimes the next day it will be dead or in a week it will be dead. Can someone give me a starting place. I have tried removing trunk lights. I can't trust leaving my car over night anywhere, sometimes it's dead sometimes no problem. dealers have proven to be pains and charge for no resaults.
