the water pump fell off is that easy to change?

 

Once you can get to it and see what needs to be done yes. Are you planning to do it yourself? If yes get a copy of the Haynes Book on the Boxster it will help you with the job no end.

The waterpump isn't a bad job. You do have to cut the waterpump gasket in half (half is for the oil cooler, which you don't want to take off). IIRC there are about 8 10mm bolts holding the pump on and that is it. Pretty easy. The hardest part of the job is bleeding the coolant system.
