Default 944 S2 interior wear

I am looking at buying a 1989 944 S2. The odometer says it has only gone 104,000 K. but the cloth of the seats is more worn than I would have expected and the white lettering on some of the panel ***** are also more worn than I would have expected.e.g. the lighter. The dash has the usual cracking. I am wondering how easy it is for someone to fiddle the odometer. It is possible that the the lighter **** is a replacement I suppose.

My question is: are these things known to wear early? Could they just deteriorate and fade due to age and heat? (The care came from Egypt). Or is this just wishful thinking.

Thanks for any responses.

The paint on the switches actually fades fairly quickly. The odometer is easy to roll back if you know what you are doing.
