Default starting problems

for the last few months everyonce in a couple weeks ill have trouble starting my 87 944, it cranks just fine but no start. usaully it will start after about 15 mins of trying to get it started. it hasstarted happening more and more often, twice this week so far. im a full timestudent and fulltime employee so it sort of drives me up the wall to know i have to work on my car after a long day. this only happens sometimes, the rest of the time it cranks over a few times then starts up. any halp would be massively appreacheated.

I just had the same problem fixed - it was the ignition switch.
It could be the DME relay too. Both are cheap, so start from there. I am sure that you will fix your problem easy.
Sometimes, reading the Forums about cars canbe very depressing, because everyone is coming here with a problem, but believe me - you will fix your startingissue in no time.

i just stepped into the garage with a friend, i tried to crank it again because sometimes it will start again if you let it sit a while, but it didnt, so we tried some starting fluid and it started right up. the presure dampner on the return fuel line leaks a bit, could that be the problem? thanks

These cars a famous for engine compartment fires,I would change that right away, If enough gas leaks out it would cause starting issues, but maybe not the one you have. Change that and check for any other leaks.
